About the Artist

A young woman with curly hair in a braid, smiling, wearing a light grey long-sleeve shirt, gold earrings, a gold necklace, and a smartwatch, stands against a brick wall.

Artist statement:

My paintings are an ode to fleeting beauty — the way light moves across water, the rhythm of clouds, or the vitality of a bloom. When viewers engage with my work, they are looking at thousands of decisions — each brushstroke a doorway, each color an invitation to step outside the confines of the moment and into a new landscape of perception.

Creativity is not something I force; it arrives as a gift, and my role is simply to facilitate it — to open the channel and let flow what wants to be expressed. Some works are process-driven, unfolding organically in the studio, while others are outcome-driven, shaped toward a clear vision. Together, they form a body of work that merges presence, energy, and resonance — paintings that aim to immerse, transport, and endure.

Bio:

Grace Longmore is a Vermont-based, self-taught oil painter whose work seeks to immerse the viewer in a world of color, movement, and presence. Working outside of formal training has given her a practice defined by curiosity, intuition, and independence — qualities that shape her seascapes, skyscapes, and floral expressionist paintings. Each work is built through thousands of choices, brushstrokes, and colors that together invite the viewer to step beyond the moment and into a space of reflection and resonance.

For Grace, creativity is not something to be demanded but a gift to be received. Some paintings emerge through process — unfolding organically in the studio — while others are outcome-driven, guided by a clear vision of light, place, or atmosphere. Across both, her goal remains constant: to create one-of-a-kind works that carry beauty, energy, and enduring presence.

Each painting I create is one of a kind, carrying its own story and presence. I invite you to explore my portfolio and discover the piece that resonates most deeply with you.
